We were delighted to work alongside Landscape Projects and the staff at Liverpool School of Architecture to deliver a project unit for the MArch Course focusing on urban design solutions in relation to flooding. The project took shape around the 'Room for the River Waal' project, a massive river widening and flood prevention construction project in Nijmegan in the Netherlands. The students worked to plan a new housing district that worked with the water to create both functional and safe and poetic and enjoyable homes.
